Oh, a comparison between Star Wars and the Wizard of Oz! Yay! Very interesting tedtalk. Makes me feel a bit guilty about the kind of games me and my little brother play though (hint: there’s lots of fighting).
That’s almost as depressing as the fact that the only female character in the prequels fell almost immediately into the pregnancy/die so the male characters can develop trope. But yay Leia!
Ugh. Didn’t she also die because of Anakin? Like, she just gave up and died… (I’ve only seen the first of the new movies.)
Yes, yay Leia! I must rewatch the movies with my newfound appreciation of her (Before, I used to dismiss lots of female characters because they were… well, female.)
