“I’m into survival”

– ”Booby Traps & lmprovised Anti-Personnel Devices”? What are you reading that for?
– l’m into survival. See ya.

I just saw A nightmare on Elm Street for the first time (Yeah, I know. I’m a
freak). Always love an 80s movie, but when it also happens to be a
horror movie were a female character does more than scream and run
– and, in fact, even goes after the super scary supernatural murderer
to kick his ass – it belongs in a very special place in my heart.
That corner where the movie geek and feminist finally come together in a
joint love for something.

So here’s to that love, and to Nancy Thompson – a girl who faces things.
